Sian (Assistance Dog Trainer)
Hi I'm Sian!
I got my dog, Cosmos in 2021 and she is my first Qualified Assistance Dog with Infinity Dogs.
I've been a dog trainer for more than fifteen years working with other trainers as well as running my own business for over 10 years. On my journey my training and specialty evolved into behavioural training and grew from there.
I am IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers) qualified and have a Level 4 Behaviour qualification, as well as extensive experience training my own rescue and difficult dogs.
I've taught pet obedience, gundog and agility as well as mantrailing and now assistance dogs too (among many other subjects and sports)
A large part of my recent dog training career was in dog rehabilitation for dogs with behavioural issues and reactivity.
I've participated in fun activities with my dogs, including gundog, agility, rally-o and parkour to name a few.
I am am also a qualified and award winning pet photographer with the Master Photographers Association
I've enjoyed helping many people with all types of different dogs, breads and issues.
I also keep up to date with CPD (continued professional development), the most recent certification is an Approved Canine Nutrition & Wellness Expert.
I've always loved dogs, my grandpa had Cavaliers while I was growing up. I got into dog training with my first dog, Bracken, whom I rescued when I was around 21.
Ruby introduced me to Infinity Dogs and I've gained so much confidence with the encouragement of the Infinity Dogs community, it's been brilliant (and I have learned so much about myself along the way!)
Volunteering for Infinity Dogs gives me the opportunity to help others the way I've been helped, ensuring handlers and dogs get the best out of each other.
